Mallory Elton, recovery room interventionist at Procter Elementary School, was named the district’s 2016-2017 Classified Employee of the Year during ceremonies March 3. Elton was chosen for the honor by a panel of judges from the Independence community.

“Mallory works hard at what she does every day,” said co-worker Cari Teter, a second-grade teacher at Procter. “She truly cares about her students and she wants them to succeed.” Teter said Elton is always there to help teachers and she always goes ‘above and beyond’ in everything she does.
