A Book for Every ISD Kindergarten Student

One of our goals for this 150th anniversary year for the Independence School District was to provide a book to every kindergarten student. The Lions Club has generously purchased these books for our students. Our 150th anniversary year has been an exciting one with the parade in September and the service projects that all of our schools are completing throughout the year to give back to our community. The focus for our 150th anniversary is on leaving a legacy and we cannot think of a better way to do that than empowering our students with the best education possible. A special thank you to the Lions Club and their donation of 1100 books to our kindergarten students! Every local TV station visited Bryant Elementary where the first book distribution took place.
