More than 200 ISD high school students, teachers, coaches and administrators volunteered to help clean up Independence on Monday, May 21. The students picked up trash as part of the Independence “Citywide Clean Up Day.” Student volunteer groups from Truman, William Chrisman and Van Horn included members of JROTC, wrestling, soccer, STUCO, football, track, baseball, band, choir, debate, orchestra, cross-country, winter guard, dance, golf, tennis, softball, robotics and basketball. The students were proud to represent their respective schools and the Independence School District and to give back to our community.
