ISD Welcomes Dr. Abigael Biehl as Principal of Sunshine Center

The ISD welcomes Dr. Abigael Biehl as the new principal of Sunshine Center. Dr. Biehl joins the ISD with 16 years of experience working in education, most recently serving as assistant to the principal and summer school principal in the Park Hill School District. Dr. Biehl earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Baldwin-Wallace University, National Board Teaching Certificate in Literacy, Master’s Degree in Reading Education at UMKC and Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University. Dr. Biehl values professional growth and learning as well as teamwork and collaboration. She says education is the best investment we can make for a bright future. The ISD is excited to welcome Dr. Biehl to the Independence School District and looks forward to her bringing her expertise and passion for education to our youngest learners!
