Celebrating PTA: Independence Council PTA Founders’ Day Breakfast
This week, we came together for the Founder’s Day Breakfast, honoring the strong partnership between the Independence School District (ISD) and the Independence Council PTA (ICPTA). This event recognizes the dedication and hard work of the PTA in supporting ISD students and staff.
District and school administrators, PTA sponsors, and students from each ISD school joined PTA presidents, members, community leaders, and Independence officials for an appreciation breakfast at the Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity Young School, catered by Chris Cakes.
This annual gathering not only acknowledges the PTA’s invaluable service to our schools but also celebrates its history and lasting impact. The ICPTA states its mission is to:
“Provide support and assistance to individual school PTAs and coordinate efforts between local units. Councils help develop leadership while supporting and encouraging State and National PTA programs and projects.”
The Independence School District is deeply grateful for this long-standing and ongoing partnership. #ISDstrong
