District Students Receive Free Dental Care at Annual TeamSmile Event

We are proud to share the success of this year’s TeamSmile 🦷 event, a heartwarming K–12 initiative that brought smiles to the faces of students from across our district. Drawing participation from all 28 schools, the event provided an incredible opportunity for 250 students to receive free dental care—all thanks to the generous support of local dental professionals who volunteered their time and expertise.

Throughout the day, students were given comprehensive dental services including exams, X-rays, cleanings, and—when necessary—extensive restorative treatment. For many students, this event provided critical dental care they might not otherwise receive.

But the day wasn’t just about dental work—it was also filled with fun and celebration. While waiting for their services, students enjoyed a lively atmosphere with music from a DJ, engaging activities, and visits from local mascots including KC Slugger and Chompers, the official TeamSmile mascot.
