The Independence School District is grateful for the partnership of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in our mission of building a community of support and excellence for the benefit of our students.

 “‘Home and school should work together for the good of the child’,” reads Board of Education Director Jill Esry from the bottom of a relative’s 1920 report card. “It was important enough to print on the bottom of a grade, as it is today.”

“We need to work together to make sure that whatever it is that is happening in the learning at the school is also happening at home,” says Board of Education Director Carrie Dixon.
