Important Update on Public Recycling at ISD Schools

The Independence School District will no longer offer public recycling at our schools and facilities.  Our current disposal company decided to charge for this service and impose financial penalties for materials not sorted properly. That would have taken more than $40,000 away from supplies and other support materials for our students. We apologize that we will no longer be able to extend this service to our patrons as of July 8^th, 2016. We value recycling and will continue to provide recycling within our buildings to students and staff.
