🎉 ISD Foundation Hosts First Annual Legacy Breakfast and Student Showcase 🎓
On November 18th, the ISD Foundation proudly hosted its first annual Legacy Breakfast and Student Showcase, a remarkable event highlighting the extraordinary achievements of Independence School District students and educators. The event drew attendees from across the district, including families, local leaders, and supporters of public education.
The morning began with a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast prepared and served by our talented ProStart Culinary students, showcasing their skills and dedication to their craft. Guests were treated to a variety of dishes that set the tone for a morning of celebration.
Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to experience firsthand the exceptional work of ISD students:
- Captivating performances from Van Horn High School Orchestra, Truman and William Chrisman High School Orchestra, Nowlin Middle School Choir, and Luff Soloist – Layla.
- Beautifully displayed student artwork that reflected creativity and effort throughout our schools.
- Capstone projects and displays, offering insights into the innovative thinking and dedication of our students.
The Legacy Breakfast was more than just a showcase; it was a celebration of the community’s collective investment in education and the opportunities made possible through the ISD Foundation. The event was a vivid reminder of how students, staff, and community members can come together to inspire excellence and create a brighter future for all.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who contributed to making this event a success—students, educators, volunteers, and community supporters alike. Your participation helped bring the ISD Foundation’s mission to life.
We look forward to continuing this tradition. Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2025 date and location this spring!
