Chrisman Football Coach Inducted into Hall of Fame

William Chrisman High School football coach Jeff Meyers was inducted into the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame on June 15. Coach Meyers’ name will be displayed in the Chiefs Museum at Arrowhead Stadium.

Meyers’ coaching career spans almost 36 years in Kansas City area schools, including Olathe North High School, Turner High School, Indian Trail Junior High and Olathe East High School. Meyers is entering his third year coaching the Chrisman Bears.

“My greatest accomplishment as a coach is having former players come back and tell me about the positive impact I had on their lives. That is also my favorite part of coaching at Chrisman,” said Meyers.

Meyers experienced many unforgettable moments throughout more than three decades of coaching. Defeating Olathe North in double overtime in front of more than 10,000 fans during his third year as head coach ranks at the top.

The Hall of Fame induction took place during halftime of the Missouri/Kansas All-Star Game on June 15 at Blue Springs South High School.

“This validates hard work and time dedicated to a sport that I played and coached and have loved every second of it,” said Meyers.
