A+ Scholarship Available to ISD High School Students

Independence School District high school students qualify for up to two years full tuition to any participating public community college or technical school in the state of Missouri upon completion of the A+ Scholarship Program prior to graduation. Some Missouri four year colleges and universities also offer their own incentives to A+ certified students. To participate in the program, students must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher along with an overall attendance record of 95% for grades 9-12 and complete at least 50 hours of unpaid district tutoring or mentoring. Up to 12.5 of the 50 hours may be documented job shadowing. Students in grades 9-12 may apply at any time during the school year by signing a letter of intent. Students must use their A+ scholarship within four years of their graduation date.
