Because of the shortened Thanksgiving Holiday week, the ISD will be in session for school on Monday, November 20. There is no school Wednesday, Nov. 22 – Friday Nov. 24. The district calendar is shown below on the home page, and you can also access it here: https://www.isdschools.org/calendars/

ISD Families: School is in session this Monday, November 6. School is not in session this Tuesday, November 7 because many ISD schools are used as polling sites for Election Day. Independence School District teachers were recognized at Truman High School by KMBC 9’s Banding Together for Teachers, a segment where pilot Johnny Rowlands lands the news helicopter at schools to thank teachers. The Independence School District’s Levy Ballot Measure passed on August 8, 2023 with a 70% approval rating! All money generated will go toward increased salaries and benefits for ISD staff, and taxpayers will see an overall levy decrease of 32 cents.
